On September 29 – October 3, 2025, the 5th Russian Microbiological Congress was held in Volgograd with great success.

The Congress was attended by more than 400 microbiological scientists, including a representative delegation from VNIISHM. The Director of VNIISHM, V.E. Tsyganov, delivered a plenary report "Innovative microbiological preparations and fertilizers for adaptive agriculture". Presentations at the sections were made by M.L. Rumyantseva, O.S. Yuzikhin, K.S. Antonets, as well as young scientists M.V. Khudyaeva and E.A. Kirichek. As part of the cultural program in the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the congress participants visited the legendary Pavlov House and Mamaev Kurgan.
