From August 24 to 29, 2026, Irkutsk and Lake Baikal hosted the IV All-Russian Conference with International Participation "MECHANISMS OF ADAPTATION OF MICROORGANISMS TO VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. MICRAD 2026"

The event brought together over 100 participants, 80 of whom attended in person.

The conference featured three sessions:

• "Mechanisms of adaptation of microorganisms to environmental factors"
• "Adaptation of microorganisms to habitat conditions in the host organism (animal, plant, human); Microbial communities as functional units of adaptation"
• "Targeted use of the adaptive potential of microorganisms in biotechnology"

Plenary keynote presentations were delivered by representatives of the All-Russia Research Institute for Agricultural Microbiology": Director V. E. Tsyganov; Chief Researcher E. E. Andronov, D.Sc.; Leading Researcher V. A. Zhukov, Ph.D.; Leading Researcher A. P. Yurkov, Ph.D.; and Senior Researcher O. S. Yuzikhin, Ph.D. A sectional report was presented by Senior Researcher A. V. Tsyganova, D.Sc.
