On May 16, 2025, under the leadership of Vladimir Nikolaevich Knyaginin, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, a strategic meeting was held at the Corporate University of St. Petersburg on priority areas of scientific research and development in St. Petersburg in the field of agricultural sciences. The meeting was attended by Igor Anatolyevich Tikhonovich, Scientific Director of the Federal State Budgetary Budgetary Institution ARRIAM, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, with a report "Prospects for the development of bioeconomics in the agro-industrial Complex of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region" and Viktor Evgenievich Tsyganov, Director of the Federal State Budgetary Budgetary Institution VNIISHM, with a report "Development of effective nitrogen-fixing plant-microbial systems in the interests of adaptive agriculture".
