Anton A. Nizhnikov graduated from St. Petersburg State University with honors in 2010. In 2013, he defended his thesis for the degree of Ph.D. of St. Petersburg State University (Biology) and the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences in the specialty 03.02.07 — "genetics". In 2021, according to the results of the thesis defense, the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences in the specialty 03.02.07 — "genetics" was awarded. Principal research fellow (since 2021); Head of the Laboratory for Proteomics of Supra-organismal Systems of the FSBSI ARRIAM (since 2017); Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology of St. Petersburg State University (since 2022); Chairman of the Scientific Commission in the field of biological Sciences and Bioecology of St. Petersburg State University (since 2020). Scientific Secretary of the Vavilov Society of Geneticists and Breeders (since 2014); Editor-in-Chief of the St. Petersburg State University Journal «Biological Communications» (since 2021).
