Elizaveta Stepanovna Kanzurova graduated from St. Petersburg State University in 2019 in the field of Molecular Biology and Agrobiotechnology of Plants (Department of Genetics and Biotechnology). Currently, he is a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Signal Regulation of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution ARRIAM.

Research interests include legume-rhizobial symbiosis, plant transformation, genomic editing of plants, hormonal regulation of plants

The main purpose of the research is to study the role of the NIN transcription factor, the founder of the family of highly conserved NIN-like proteins (NLP), which are widely represented in almost all plant groups. Despite the general similarity of all NLP proteins, only NIN in legumes was recruited to play a key role in regulating the development of rhizobial symbiosis associated with the systemic regulation of nodule formation, infection regulation and morphogenesis control. In the course of the ongoing research, it is necessary to find out which features of the structural organization and regulation of the transcription factor NIN determined its key role in controlling the development of rhizobial symbiosis and, in particular, in controlling morphogenesis.
