IV International Symposium "Molecular aspects of plant redox Metabolism"

V.E. Tsyganov, Director of the FSBSI ARRIAM and A.V. Tsyganova, a leading researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biology, presented the reports "Glutathione in the antioxidant protection system in legume nodules" and "The role of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in symbiotic legume nodules" at the IV International Symposium "MOLECULAR ASPECTS OF PLANT REDOX METABOLISM", held on August 25-28 2024 in Minsk, Belarus. The symposium was attended by more than 90 scientists from various countries studying the urgent problem of the role of reactive oxygen species and nitrogen in the functioning of plant cells. This problem is becoming especially relevant in the context of global climate change. Various adverse factors cause the development of oxidative stress in plants, which can lead to significant crop losses. At the same time, reactive oxygen and nitrogen species serve as signaling molecules during various processes in the plant cell. The next symposium will be held in August 2026 in Pskov.
